HOBART SERVICE celebrates International Women’s Day

We asked some of our colleagues what International Women’s Day means to them:

‘What it means to me…. Women don’t want to be treated as special but want to have a seat at the table, be equally heard, be equally treated and to be part of an organisation that is diverse, equitable, inclusive of all and celebrates difference. ‘One of my favourite quotes in support of International Women’s Day is:

“Here’s to strong women. May we know them. May we be them. May we raise them.”

I feel very lucky to know and be surrounded by strong successful women – both in my family and my workplace. International Women’s Day to me is a reminder to continuously celebrate and acknowledge the achievements of women around us and support each other. Having a younger sister, I also think it is so important for her to see and know there is no limit to what you can achieve – woman or not.’
